A Place Where You Belong
We are Christ the King—a Jakarta-based community of Spirit-filled disciples, learning to live the story of Jesus and reflect His kingship in every part of life. We believe Christ’s kingship is best understood as kinship—a way of reigning that looks like serving, embracing, and walking with others. But this kind of kingship is not easy to follow. In our brokenness, humanity’s instinct is to “lord it over others.” That’s why we’re committed to being a safe and sacred space—where it’s okay to explore, to question, even to doubt, and to grow at your own pace.
Here, you don’t have to pretend. You just have to come as you are. Because in the Spirit’s presence, kinship is not imposed—it is discovered, slowly and graciously, together.
That is why our hope rests in total dependence on the Holy Spirit—our Comforter, our Guide, our only hope of breaking free from the old ways of power and control.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, we welcome you to visit and walk with us.

A Tapestry of Grace
At Christ the King Church, we believe that every person carries a unique story—woven from family histories, cultures, languages, journeys, and identities. These threads make us who we are, and no two are the same. We call this being hybrid and in-between—living in the spaces where differences meet, where beauty and brokenness often intertwine. It is in these very places that Christ meets us with healing grace. And it is from these places that we are called to extend that grace to others—with dignity, honor, and deep compassion, especially toward those the world pushes to the margins.
We believe that the Spirit gathers us not in spite of our differences, but through them—making us into a community where each person belongs, and every thread has its place.
