Arlene Simatupang
Lead Pastor
Arlene Simatupang was born and raised in Jakarta and attended college in Orange County, CA (yes, she’s a proud OC girl who still loves the beach!). After graduating, she returned to Jakarta and worked as a marketing executive across various industries.
In 2003, she met Pastor Oyan while they were both serving as lay leaders in a young adult ministry. They married in 2005 and are raising two daughters, Tedra and Katriel. After becoming a mom, Arlene took a season away from corporate work to focus on family life. During that time, she continued ministering in different areas—children’s ministry, couples counseling, and leadership in the parent advisory group at their daughters’ school. Her family is a frequent and grateful beneficiary of her love for cooking and baking.
Arlene recently completed her Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry (MATM) through distance learning at Fuller Seminary.
When Christ the King Church (CTK) was founded, she served as Co-Lead Pastor from the beginning, shaping the community’s life alongside Pastor Oyan. In 2025, she became the Lead Pastor of CTK. Her deep pastoral heart, combined with her natural leadership skills and steady presence, make her a good fit to guide CTK into its next season—a community seeking to embody Christ’s kingship through grace, truth, and belonging.
