Kids Coordinator
Lycel Arboleda started attending CTK during the lockdown when everything was online. She volunteered for the online Kids Church and was overjoyed when the virtual doors finally opened, allowing her to meet the children in person.
In 2025, Lycel earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education from Miriam College, Philippines—a significant milestone that reflects both her academic excellence and deep calling to serve children. This achievement builds on years of experience in diverse educational settings, where she has consistently created meaningful and engaging learning experiences for young minds. Whether teaching in person or online, Lycel embraces innovative, holistic approaches that inspire both students and fellow educators.
But her calling extends beyond the classroom. Lycel is deeply involved in children’s ministry. The Lord not only guided her into this work but also opened unexpected doors along the way. She trained in puppetry under Panggung Boneka, an Indonesian puppet group dedicated to spreading the gospel to children. Through this ministry, she has traveled across Indonesia, partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Pansophia Indonesia, and supporting local Sunday school teachers with training and resources.
Today, she leads a team of educators known as Puppet Peers, who share her passion for Jesus and for creatively communicating the gospel to children from many backgrounds.
You’ll often find Teacher Lycel at CTK with a ukulele in hand, joyfully leading the children in praise and worship. Her ministry weaves together education, puppetry, and music, offering young hearts not just knowledge, but a living encounter with God’s love.
